We have a suggestion that is easy to do, and can help your garage door continue to run smoothly. It may be time to grease up your gears!!! Adding a lubricate to your, rollers, springs, tracks, and hinges, could help the overall function of your garage door. What we have seen with some of our clients is the mistake of applying too much grease to their garage, which can actually cause your garage parts to become clogged and corroded. That’s not what we’re looking to accomplish!
So our recommendation is to use a light garage door lubricant spray that can be found at your local hardware store. You can also ask some of the hardware store experts about picking out a low temperature grease for your opener rail. There are several items that will help you keep your garage door noise free! In order to avoid over greasing and clogging up your garage parts, we recommend using the lubricant spray on your springs, rollers, hinges, and tracks about three or four times a year. No need to overdue it!
